The specific year when Bundy started his serial killing is not precise since he gave different dates to different people. He recorded a statement to the police that he started engaging in the crime from 1969 committed the first murder in 1972 (Thomas 22). The police held a serious hunt for the suspect and a list of several suspects was unveiled that included Bundy as the prime suspect
